This hand-painted mural is based on our ongoing SunsetSamples, originally a series of prints developed during a a residency at the Facebook Analog Research Lab (now Meta Open Arts) in California. The mural was commissioned by Facebook for the opening of their Pittsburgh office in 2019.

Gradients within the mural are built from three differently colored layers of halftones, each made using a different shape. The final mural was over 24 feet in length and was painted over the course of two weeks.
