The Outsider book
In The Outsider, Athena Torri charts the transmutation of materials, from the forest to the workshop, creating a dialectic between the craftsman’s woodshop and the artist’s studio. Using this material as inspiration for the book’s design, a die cut cover and subtle interior grid pattern nod to workshop peg boards, while the treatment of the project’s title text is informed by industrial lumber stamps.
