Local Architecture book

Book examining the evolution and practitioners defining the movement of Local Architecture, which champions architecture that responds to site. Inspired by this place-based approach, I created distinct “coordinates” within the book’s grid for each architect, adapting the arrangement of their work (and even page folios) to mark these points. Front and back matter were further distinguished by unique PMS colors. The book includes essays by Kenneth Frampton, Juhani Pallasmaa, and Glenn Murcutt, with projects by Deborah Berke, Marlon Blackwell, Rick Joy, Tom Kundig, Rural Studio, and others.
